Silver Bay Aglaonema (Aglaonema 'Silver Bay')

The Silver Bay Evergreen is a captivating and low-maintenance houseplant celebrated for its striking foliage. Hailing from Southeast Asia, this Aglaonema variety is admired for its lush leaves with a beautiful blend of green and silver hues.

This plant ships in a 6 inch nursery pot and soil. The pot comes with 2-3 plants.

After unboxing, keep your new plant in bright indirect light for about a week to let it bounce back from the stresses of shipping. Check roots for rot, and water as needed. 

Refrain from repotting for at least one month. While we inspect every plant for pest and health before shipping, its best practice to inspect and isolate your new plant for up to a month to limit pest spread. If your plant arrives with any issue, reach out to our team with pictures if possible!

Growth Pattern: This Evergreen displays an upright growth habit with elegant, lance-shaped leaves. Its compact form makes it an excellent choice for tabletops, shelves, or as a floor accent.

Light Requirements: The Silver Bay Evergreen thrives in low to moderate light conditions, making it a perfect addition to spaces with limited natural light. However, it can tolerate brighter indirect light as well.

Watering Needs: Keep the soil of your Silver Bay Evergreen consistently moist but not soggy. Water thoroughly when the top inch of soil feels dry. Ensure proper drainage to prevent overwatering.

Soil Type: Plant your Silver Bay Evergreen  in a well-draining potting mix with good aeration. A standard indoor plant mix is suitable.

Temperature and Climate: Maintain a temperature range between 65-80°F (18-27°C) for optimal growth. Protect it from drafts and temperature extremes.

Fertilization: Feed your Silver Bay Evergreen  with a balanced liquid fertilizer every 4-6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer) to encourage healthy foliage development.

Pruning and Maintenance: Prune your Evergreen as needed to remove dead or yellowing leaves, which promotes new growth. These plants are relatively low-maintenance and don't require extensive pruning.

Pests and Diseases: Evergreen are generally resistant to pests and diseases. However, occasionally, they might encounter issues like spider mites or mealybugs. Inspect your plant regularly and address any infestations promptly with neem oil or insecticidal soap.

Toxicity: Please be aware that the Silver Bay Evergreen is considered toxic if ingested, so it's advisable to keep it out of reach of pets and children.
