Note that plants pictured are representative of the size, fullness, health and maturity of the plant we will ship.

After unboxing, keep your new plant in bright indirect light for about a week to let it bounce back from the stresses of shipping. Check roots for rot, and water as needed.

Refrain from repotting for at least one month. While we inspect every plant for pest and health before shipping, its best practice to inspect and isolate your new plant for up to a month to limit pest spread. If your plant arrives with any issue, reach out to our team with pictures if possible!

Light Requirements: Dragon Tail Philodendrons thrive in medium to bright, indirect light. They can tolerate lower light conditions but may grow more slowly and produce fewer leaves.

Watering Needs: Maintain consistently moist soil for your Dragon Tail Philodendron. Water when the top inch of soil feels dry to the touch, typically every 1-2 weeks. Avoid waterlogged soil, as this plant is susceptible to root rot.

Soil Type: Plant your Dragon Tail Philodendron in well-draining potting mix. A blend of standard potting soil with perlite or orchid bark provides excellent aeration and drainage.

Temperature and Climate: Dragon Tail Philodendrons prefer indoor temperatures between 65-75°F (18-24°C). They are well-suited to most indoor environments, as long as they are protected from drafts and temperature extremes.

Fertilization: Feed your Dragon Tail Philodendron with a balanced liquid fertilizer every 4-6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer). Reduce fertilization in the winter months.

Pruning and Maintenance: Pruning needs are minimal. Remove any yellowing or dead leaves to maintain the plant's appearance. Regularly dust the leaves to keep them clean and healthy.

Pests and Diseases: Dragon Tail Philodendrons are generally resistant to pests. However, keep an eye out for common houseplant pests like mealybugs or spider mites. Promptly address any pest issues with appropriate treatment.

Landscape and Use: This lush and compact philodendron is a versatile addition to any indoor garden. Its bushy growth habit makes it an excellent choice for tabletops, shelves, or as a floor plant in larger spaces. The Dragon Tail Philodendron adds a refreshing tropical vibe to your home or office.

Additional Tips:

  • Propagate your Dragon Tail Philodendron by taking stem cuttings and rooting them in water or soil.
