Golden Pothos (Epipremnum aureum)

Golden Pothos, also known as Devil's Ivy, is a popular and versatile houseplant known for its vibrant, heart-shaped leaves with striking variegation. This fast-growing vine can trail elegantly from hanging baskets or climb up support structures, reaching lengths of up to 10 feet or more.

This plant comes in a 8 inch nursery pot with a removable hanger.

After unboxing, keep your new plant in bright indirect light for about a week to let it bounce back from the stresses of shipping. Check roots for rot, and water as needed. 

Refrain from repotting for at least one month. While we inspect every plant for pest and health before shipping, its best practice to inspect and isolate your new plant for up to a month to limit pest spread. If your plant arrives with any issue, reach out to our team with pictures if possible!

Light Requirements:

• Golden Pothos is adaptable to various light conditions but thrives in bright, indirect light. It can tolerate low light but may grow more slowly.

Watering Needs:

• Water your Golden Pothos moderately, allowing the top inch of the soil to dry between waterings. Avoid overwatering, as it is susceptible to root rot.

Soil Type:

• Plant in a well-draining potting mix with good aeration. Regular potting soil mixed with perlite works well.

Temperature and Climate:

• Golden Pothos prefers temperatures between 65-85°F (18-29°C) and can handle some fluctuations. It's suitable for most indoor environments.

Fertilization:

• Feed your Golden Pothos with a balanced liquid fertilizer every 4-6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer).

Pruning and Maintenance:

• Prune to control size and promote bushiness. Trim leggy vines just above a leaf node.
• Maintenance is minimal, making it an excellent choice for beginners.

Pests and Diseases:

• Rarely affected by pests, but watch for mealybugs or spider mites. Treat infestations with neem oil or insecticidal soap.
• Generally disease-resistant if not overwatered.

Landscape and Use:

• Ideal as a hanging or trailing plant, it adds charm to shelves, windowsills, or indoor vertical gardens.
• Golden Pothos is an excellent air purifier, helping to remove indoor toxins.

Additional Tips:

• Propagate by stem cuttings in water or soil.
• Its elegant, variegated foliage adds a touch of nature to any indoor space.
