After unboxing, keep your new plant in bright indirect light for about a week to let it bounce back from the stresses of shipping. Check roots for rot, and water as needed. Refrain from repotting for at least one month. While we inspect every plant for pest and health before shipping, its best practice to inspect and isolate your new plant for up to a month to limit pest spread. If your plant arrives with any issue, reach out to our team with pictures if possible!

Growth Pattern: With its delicate cascading stems, adorned by charming, succulent leaves, the String of Hearts presents a captivating display. Its slender vines can trail gracefully from hanging baskets or cascade elegantly from shelves, adding a touch of natural beauty to any indoor space.
Light Requirements: The String of Hearts flourishes in bright, indirect light. While it can tolerate some direct sunlight, it's essential to protect it from intense rays to prevent leaf scorching.
Watering Needs: To ensure the health of your String of Hearts, allow the top inch of the soil to dry between waterings. Water your plant sparingly but thoroughly, as it's susceptible to root rot if overwatered. Ensure proper drainage in the pot to prevent waterlogged soil.
Soil Type: Plant your String of Hearts in a well-draining succulent or cactus mix. These specially formulated mixes provide an ideal balance of moisture retention and aeration for optimal growth.
Temperature and Climate: Maintain a temperature range between 60-80°F (15-27°C) for your plant's well-being. Shield it from drafts and cold temperatures to prevent stress.
Fertilization: During the growing season (spring and summer), feed your String of Hearts with a diluted, balanced liquid fertilizer every 4-6 weeks to encourage lush growth and vibrant foliage.
Pruning and Maintenance: As your plant matures, you may want to prune it to control its size or promote bushier growth. Trim any leggy stems just above a leaf node to encourage branching. String of Hearts is relatively low-maintenance, making it an excellent choice for both novice and experienced plant enthusiasts.
Pests and Diseases: These plants are generally resilient to pests and diseases. However, be watchful for common succulent pests like mealybugs or aphids. If any infestations occur, promptly address them with neem oil or insecticidal soap.
Toxicity: It's important to note that the String of Hearts is considered toxic if ingested, so exercise caution and keep it out of the reach of pets and children.
