After unboxing, keep your new plant in bright indirect light for about a week to let it bounce back from the stresses of shipping. Check roots for rot, and water as needed. Refrain from repotting for at least a month to allow plant to acclimate to your micro-climate. While we inspect every plant for pest and health before shipping, its best practice to inspect and isolate your new plant for up to a month to limit pest spread. If your plant arrives with any issue, reach out to our team with pictures if possible!

Light Requirements: This Scindapsus variety thrives in moderate to bright, indirect light. It can adapt to lower light conditions, but its variegation is most vivid and attractive when provided with ample indirect sunlight.

Watering Needs: Maintain even soil moisture for your Argyraeus Scindapsus. Water when the top inch of the soil feels slightly dry. Avoid overwatering to prevent root rot, and ensure proper drainage.

Soil Type: Plant Argyraeus Scindapsus in a well-draining potting mix with good aeration. A mix of regular potting soil and perlite or orchid bark works well to provide the right balance of moisture and airflow.

Temperature and Climate: This tropical beauty thrives in warm, humid conditions. Keep it in an environment with temperatures between 60-85°F (15-29°C). While not often necessary, you can provide extra humidity through a humidity tray or terrarium if desired.

Fertilization: Feed your Argyraeus Scindapsus every 4-6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer) with a balanced liquid fertilizer. Reduce feeding in the winter months when growth slows.

Pruning and Maintenance: Pruning needs are minimal. Trim any leggy vines just above a leaf node to encourage bushier growth. Remove any damaged or yellowing leaves to keep the plant looking its best.

Pests and Diseases: Monitor for common houseplant pests like mealybugs and spider mites. Regularly inspect the leaves, and address any pest issues promptly with neem oil or insecticidal soap. Proper care can help prevent infestations.

Landscape and Use: Argyraeus Scindapsus is an enchanting addition to any indoor space. Its unique silver variegation and graceful trailing vines make it an eye-catching accent for shelves, hanging baskets, or as a tabletop plant.

Additional Tips:

  • Rotate the plant occasionally to ensure even growth and balanced variegation.

Toxicity: Argyraeus Scindapsus is toxic if ingested, so exercise caution and keep it out of reach of children and pets.
