"Monstera Deliciosa"

The Monstera Deliciosa, often called the Swiss Cheese Plant, is a striking, vining houseplant admired for its unique, broad leaves with distinct splits and holes. Housed in a 6-inch nursery pot, the plant you receive will resemble those pictured in size, health, and maturity.

Upon arrival, place your new Monstera Deliciosa in indirect sunlight for a week to recover from shipping stress. Check the roots for rot and water as necessary. Avoid repotting for at least a month. While we meticulously inspect each plant before shipment, consider isolating your new addition for up to a month to prevent potential pest spread. In case of any issues upon arrival, please reach out to our team with accompanying photos if possible.

Plant Shipping Disclaimer: Live plants have different sensitivity levels to shipping stress including but not limited to shipping route/facility weather or being boxed up without light or ventilation for days at a time. Yellowing/lose of leaves, root rot, wrinkling of stems, discoloration, and other signs of shipping stress can be expected to some degree. Minor damage as listed above sometimes cannot be mitigated even through the best of practices per each plants unique sensitivities. Minor and Expected stress on live plants shipped by Scorpio Gardens as listed above cannot be considered for refunds. To minimize stress on your plants in transit, consider adding “heated packaging” for packages traveling through regions experiencing 40 degrees or less and upgrading to Express 2nd Day Mail

Light Requirements: The Monstera Deliciosa thrives in bright, indirect light but can tolerate lower light conditions.

Soil Type: Plant in well-draining potting mix with good aeration, such as regular potting soil mixed with perlite.

Temperature and Climate: Adaptable to temperatures between 65-85°F (18-29°C), making it suitable for most indoor environments.

Fertilization: During the growing season (spring and summer), feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer every 4-6 weeks.

Pruning and Maintenance: Control size and encourage lush growth by trimming leggy vines just above a leaf node. It's an easy-to-maintain plant, perfect for beginners.

Pests and Diseases: The Monstera Deliciosa is generally pest-resistant but keep an eye out for mealybugs or spider mites. Address infestations with neem oil or insecticidal soap.

Landscape and Use: Perfect as a hanging or trailing plant, it adds character to shelves, windowsills, or indoor vertical gardens. Additionally, it acts as a superb air purifier, effectively removing indoor toxins.

Additional Tips: Easily propagate by stem cuttings in water or soil. The plant's unique foliage adds a natural touch to any indoor space.

Toxicity: Caution - it's toxic if ingested, so ensure it's kept out of reach of pets and children.
